What You Can Expect

Begin your half-day freediving excursion with an early morning pick-up from your Bwejuu hotel around 08h00 and relax on the short drive to Paje Beach. After meeting your freediving instructor, take a boat toward Paje Reef. Listen carefully as your instructor introduces the sport of freediving and offers a safety briefing.

On arrival, your instructor will teach you how to choose, adjust and use the freediving equipment, and you’ll have time to practice your breath holds and duck dives before heading underwater. As you improve your technique, learn about checking the buoyancy, equalizing your air spaces, efficient kicking techniques, performing effortless duck dives and freediving on the dive line.

After half day of freediving among the vibrant corals and schools of tropical fish, hop back on the boat as you sail back to the beach. When you arrive back at Paje Beach, a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Please note: No prior experience of freediving is required, but participants should be over 15 years old, have adequate swimming skills and be comfortable in the water. Groups are limited to 3 divers per instructor to ensure a safe and fun experience.
